"The bluest eyes" by Toni Morrison
Toni Morrison has one of best and Morrison has observes so
many think in reality of society and men how they treated to women and also we
see that criminal and tyrannical world of American society and gender
disparity, women beauty at theme in this novel. American
literature and how society in many changes or problems between in realty see in
many novel, poem, poetry, ballad, drama etc. In American in this age, society
in black and white different and children and women are not safe here. His
writing has contemporary American literature.
Toni Morrison wrote this novel
“The bluest eyes” titled has well appropriated and how relationship between men
and women. In novel begun that at Claudia and Frieda Mac Teer live in Ohio with
their parents. Pecola has protagonist and she is poor black girl. She brought
up in the modern American society and unlucky girl feted to meet her tragic
doom. Toni Morrison has narrated and ported to Pecola has black girl child and
how society has cruel to them. She becomes victim of the prevalent social
system of her time. In novel goes way, The Mac Teer family takes two other
people in their home, Mr. Henry and Pecola. Her parents are constantly fighting
and we see that physically and verbally. Pecola is continually being told and
reminder of what an “ugly” girl she is and we see that how gender different and
women beauty are very important. And we know that fueling her desire to be
Caucasian with blue eyes.
In novel Morrison has narrated to tragical way in
novel end and how gender disparity of while Pecola is doing dishes, her father
intoxicated rapes her. And she is black and no any argues or said that her
father and you can see that how father is rapes his daughter and this image are
very cruel and see that social reality in this scene.
The bluest eye is a novel contains several relationships,
although the relationships never end pleasantly. As we find that how father has
to drunk and criminal of mind and novelist also social situation of men sexual
desire, they are doing that cruel. Cholly’s friend Blue Jack and both became
close friend Cholly enjoyed the company and he didn’t have much faith in
religious or almightily god. Cholly has bad character and he is father
but we see that his moral and orthodox beliefs prevalent in black community.
Pauline and Cholly married life are not good and both fight him. In this novel
“The Bluest eyes” in Pecola has center but in her tragedy that she is black
child. At time pass that seemingly a combination of both love and hate.

black woman itself. Morrison has described the world wide gender disparity by
her characters like Pecola. Here are many recurring implications to the
superiority of whites over blacks. And we can says that black women of this
novel are presented as the victims of the white beauty standards of society and
some of them, but we see that how men are attracted to white beauty and they
are evil behaviors of black women and society are also witness. So we can says
that white women has beauty and black women has ugly, but we find that
this novel in Pecola desire has unfulfils and she is hopeless desire to be
identifies a white girl eventually drives Pecola to insanity.
