Here my views about thinking activity of Poem 'Wasteland' as per my understanding.

Respected sir,

'The wasteland' is a masterpiece of renowned English poet T.S Eliot, poem wasteland modern epic in 20th century.
1) Friedrich Nietzsche, with concept of "Ubermensch" (superman) progressive and forward looking, and believe in faith and self only.he thought that self is more important then anything else.superman create his own way of life and values.read this poem we can s say that T.S Eliot believe in spirituality and religion, because many symbols use in this poem in different religion like Hinduism,Christianity, Buddhism etc.
I think that ,Yes Eliot regressive compare with to Nietzsche views because Eliot goes back into past, and also Eliot use of various myths.myths always give to moral thought.Nietzsche thinks is more advance way of forward looking give to solution of contemporary problem, where as Eliot goes into past(backward) for the solution of contemporary problem.
For example ,Krishna and Christ other God who was such a superman ,who makes their own path, which was followed by people time to come,so the solution of question to developing with own sens.

2) Here define both ideas,we can say that Eliot and Freud thinking are opposite direction and both have thought different. Freud was psychologist his famous book "Interpretation of Dream". Also shows the collective unconscious. Thus both Freud and Eliot gave theirs views.Eliot views does not falsify Freud ,it is true that free vent to repressed primitive leads to happy life but should by limited.Freud has given to psychological interpretation and real problem not say wastelanders as doing.Excessiveness of anything is very harmful so Eliot also unhappy with that excessiveness leads to sexual perversion, barrenness, and spiritual degradation.

3) Illusions to the Indian thought in wasteland.
Wasteland has immense use of Indian philosophy and different mythical story.Eliot ultimately focus on Indian spirituality as well as Christianity, Hinduism,Buddhism.
Here use of various religion aspects
<The fire sermon part reflect the Buddhism.
<Holy Grail reference also shows Christianity aspect.
<Garden Frosty shows connection with Christianity.
<This words mention in Brihadaryak Upanishad, and solution of problem's and believe in self and will power,
Da< Data,giver
Dayadhvam< compassion
Damyata<self control
Man illusion from various myths 5part of wasteland (what the Funder said, taken from upnishad ,Gangs,Himvatand Da,Datta,Dayadhavm, and ends with poem Shantih,Shantih,Shantih.modern man is burning with desire passion, lust. That's why ends with Eliot say Peace that passes understanding.

My interpretation of modern short story ''Udancharkaldi''

Here I am sharing one modern short story

udancharkaldi by contemporary Gujarati writer Mahendrasinh Parmar from his book “Polytechnic” ( a collection of short stories). They are 'Polytechnic' short story it is modern short story.Modern literature use the triviality in any space of literature. Some modernity put in trivial aspect of this short story ''Udancharkaldi''.

About the Author:-
Mahendrasinh Parmar is born on 2nd October 1967 in Naliya (Kutch, Gujarat). At present he is a faculty member at Department of Gujarati, Maharaja krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. Recently, In February 2016 he launched his two books.
1.)            “Polytechnic”
2.)            “Rakhdu no Kagal”
The Plot:-

The plot of the story revolves around the female protagonist ‘Jivi’. Jivi is a girl from rural area. She gets married with Mansukh and moves to his urban house. The new house was very nice with good flooring and the most important facility   was “Toilet”. She cleans the toilet with finial and keeps it so clean.  In village, Jivi and her friends had lots of problems as they didn’t have facilities of toilet.
Jivi loves her new house so much that when her mother and brother invite her for her brother’s wedding. At first she denies going with them and promises to come soon. Jivi was so attached with the new house and specially the facilities, which it was hard for her now to live without this facility. Mansukh also explains Jivi that they should go for her brother’s wedding. The end of the story is open for interpretation that whether Jivi visits her mother’s home or not.

In this story, the author has used a very interesting metaphor “Raamsabha” for the nature’s call in nature. Jivi and her friends use this metaphor to talk about the nature’s call in nature. It generates laughter among the readers. This metaphor is used several times in the story.
Example:-

This dialogue is spoken by ‘Savli’; Jivi’s best friend. When Jivi’s Bidaai is taking place, Savli tells her that she is very fortunate to have the facility of sanitation, but she has the same “Raamsabha”.
It shows how the girls suffer due to lack of facility of sanitization. The girls can get it only if they get married. The question is why????

Here we can see how an old lady sings song of “Raamsabha”. It reflects the problems she might have suffered and must be seeing the younger girls suffer.here use this many trivial image in story also.

Here we can see a glimpse of a conversation between Jivi and her husband. Jivi tells her husband about “Raamsabha”. Here is a very interesting line which reflects the salient feature of postmodernist literature.

This is what we as a reader should understand the hidden meaning behind the comic elements. Both Jivi and her husband cried on the situations faced by Jivi.
A woman faces this serious problem of poor or no sanitation facilities. It not only creates problem about hygiene of women but also security of women. In August 2014, two girls in Uttar Pradesh were raped during their visit to farm for relieving themselves. Many women in India are still facing the problems. Nowadays we also see the advertisement of the Government program for the use of toilets with a tagline.

Jaha soch waha sauchalay”

Rather than portraying Jivi in a tragic way, the author gives her a
touch of comedy mixed with innocence. We might wonder that can there be anyone who doesn’t want to go at her mother’s place. We should imagine the condition of Jivi and the problem girls like her faces. Jivi reflects every girl who is the victim of these kinds of social issues. With the use of pure local Gujarati language, use of metaphors and the comic elements makes the story worth reading.
Many times people are also ashamed of talking about toilet facility or maybe they think these are not important things to be discussed or talked. modern  literature makes use of comedy, satire and irony to highlight the dark side of the society.

Review of the novel 'Sat pagala akashma'

It is written by Kundanika Kapadiya. We can say that it is completely based on woman that how woman has to suffer in our society. It tries to show the problems of women in our society. Because every where woman has to suffer whether it is home or any other place. Because rules of our culture. All types of ‘ijjat’ and ‘abaru’ connected with woman why not with man. And because of that things woman not allow going out and because of that thing they are marginalized. While in that thing there is no fault of woman and yet she has to suffer because of the fault of man.
There are some movies like this novel for example ‘Lajja’, ‘Zubeidaa’, etc.

In that movie we can see that how women have to suffer in the society. And if we think about ‘Ramayana’ so in that also ‘Sita’ has to suffer while in this movie ‘Madhuri’ performing the role of Sita in stage performance but she not speaking like Sita and that’s why people through some stones on the stage. And through this incident we can understand that what is the conditioning of man in our society? And we can see these things in novels and movies because those things are in our society. So, we have to remove it.  It will happen when we able to change our mind. So let’s we start from ourself…

Oneness of Literature online discussion.

Respected sir,
                           '' Oneness of Literature''

oneness of literature image साठी इमेज परिणाम

We studied in Eliot's Tradition and Individual Talent '' what happens when new work of art created something.Let us read   this as all literature are connected with each other.all writer makes use of one sign, symbol, character, situation for specific purpose. If the same sign ,symbol, character ,situation is used by other writer,if this goes on recurrently happen it literary metaphor.
Later, Northrop Frye, also confirmed this argument ''every organized body of knowledge can be learned progressive and experience show there is also something progressive about learning literature. He developed theory of ''Archetypal Criticism''based on the idea that whole of the literature has oneness of its existence.all literature are skeleton.
here my views about Wasteland better understand to  context with short story  of Anton Chekhov (A Joke).
If we  compare with Marie's incident with Nadiya 's story, normally might be taken as an nostalgic childhood experience.if we deep into ,we can see the symbolism lying in both incident.
   Marie and Nadia also relation
This line Wasteland:-

And when we were children
Staying at the archduke's
my Cousin's,he took me out on a sled
And I was frightened,He said Marie
Marie, hold on tight,And down we went
In the mountain, there you feel free''

Marie and Nadia at first are afraid of this lustful relation but slowly they start enjoying, and it become a part of everyone life also. There are common symbol of ''Sled'' in the both the story  ,Generally 'Sled' used for the adventures activity to come down to height. In the both work 'Sled' is symbol of sexual perversion resulting to spiritual degradation.
here this line are connected with the overall theme in the poem ''The wasteland'' reflects Europe of Eliot, where people were lustful relation and burning with lust.Line ( Hold on tight - Reflects Sexual perversion),(down we went- reflect of spiritual degradation.
here i observed one thing in the short story ,Anton Chekhov every time the narrator used to I love you to Nadia,at the end he also pointed out different between ''Love and Lust''
.All waste-landers were burning to all lust. there was no love ,because, love leads to spirituality ,lust leads by spiritual Degradation.

                                            Thank You.............
